I spent my early years in Santa Barbara, before my father's job took the family overseas to Egypt for several years. When we finally moved back to the States, we settled in yet another desert, in Palm Desert, CA.

After graduating high school in Palm Desert, I moved up to the Bay Area to attend college, earning a B.S. degree in Chemistry from U.C. Berkeley.

Post college, I took some time to live life — worked some odd jobs, did some travelling throughout the UK, Europe and the Middle East... even served a short stint as a bass player for a touring indie rock band.

Eventually I settled into full-time work in the tech industry in San Francisco, where I was variously employed as a software developer, network engineer, and tech writer.

Since the aughts, I have worked in the fields of technical writing, instructional design, and web app development. During this time, I earned an M.S. Degree in Instructional Design and Technology from Cal State Fullerton, and authored manuals and online training courses which are now being used by corporations, colleges, and trade schools worldwide.

I currently live and work from my home in Los Angeles. Back in Southern California, back in the desert.
