I spent my early years in Santa Barbara, before my father's job took the family overseas to Egypt for several years. When we finally moved back to the States, we settled in yet another desert, in Palm Desert, CA.

After graduating high school in Palm Desert, I moved up to the Bay Area to attend college, earning a B.S. in Chemistry from U.C. Berkeley.

Post college, I took some time to live life... worked some odd jobs, did some traveling throughout the UK, Europe, and the Middle East... even served a short stint as a bass player for a touring indie rock band.

Eventually I settled into full-time work in the tech industry in San Francisco, where I was variously employed as a software developer and systems/network engineer, before switching focus to technical writing and instructional design.

Along the way, I earned an M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology from Cal State Fullerton and authored documentation and online training courses used by colleges, vocational centers, and major corporations.

Currently, I live and work from my home in Los Angeles. Back in Southern California... back in the desert.
